Warner Bros. released select episodes of Freddy’s Nightmares on home video. The majority of these releases are in VHS format and are available in several regions. Warner attempted to release the series on DVD in 2003, beginning with the first-three episode sampler Freddy’s Nightmares Volume 1. Unfortunately, sales for Volume 1 did not meet Warner’s expectations and they abandoned all subsequent releases. Warner Home Video cited “not enough interest” as the reason why they decided not to continue with releasing a full series collection.
Although the home video market was no longer practical, Warner Bros. did try an alternate method to bring Freddy’s Nightmares to horror fans: the Internet. AOL Television featured all episodes of Freddy’s Nightmares from 2005–07.
Additionally, dedicated horror channel Chiller re-aired the series in 2007 as part of their initial programming schedule.
