Freddy Krueger statue coming in November

Gentle Giant Studios has announced their new Freddy Krueger statue, coming November 2008.

Equipped with his knife-fingered glove, Freddy is seated in a warped leather chair, attended by a melancholy retinue of maimed and disfigured dolls. In life, Freddy’s perverse appetites had earned him death by fire at the hands of outraged parents; in death, however, Freddy was imbued with demonic power and a subsequent opportunity to reap misguided vengeance on the remaining children of Elm Street. Gaining access to his victims via macabre nightmares, Freddy encountered resistance only when he moved against young, pretty Nancy Thompson. Taking measures to avoid sleep, Nancy generated an organized understanding of Freddy’s powers and limitations, and endeavored to wring Freddy into reality where his physical form was more vulnerable to conventional attack. Although Freddy was seemingly vanquished by Nancy, the original film concluded on an ambiguous note, and spawned a deluge of outlandish sequels.
