Popular horror magazine Fangoria published an “official movie magazine” for A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, and Freddy vs. Jason. Each magazine was released to coincide with the respective film’s opening and features the film’s story in pictures, exclusive interviews with cast and crew, special effects secrets, series overview, and two double-sided fold-out posters.

Yaphet Kotto, who portrayed “Doc” in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, among many other roles in film and television has died. Kotto was 81.
