August 30, I purchased a highly sought after A Nightmare on Elm Street 8-disc DVD collection from 1999 that can be very difficult to buy at a good price and condition. It is the one that the 7 films from A Nightmare on Elm Street-Wes Craven's New Nightmare are in separate cases. I already own Freddy vs. Jason in the two-disc edition DVD (not the slim case, regular size case) from several years ago, 2015 or 2016. I have the A Nightmare on Elm Street two-disc New Line Platinum Series DVD. I have Freddy's Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series on Blu-ray from a fan produced forum website that the main person made a custom box set of the entire series with unreleased extras. I have the 2011 I Am Nancy DVD documentary that Heather Langenkamp produced and an autographed picture with the order from 2012. I purchased the digital release of it with the exclusive extras June 2, 2019. I also have Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy two-disc regular edition DVD from Christmas 2011. It includes an eighth disc of features that most have never been re-released again since. It has a great behind the scenes booklet and 3D glasses for Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. The condition for the one I purchased is listed as Very Good, but it looks nearly Brand New. I paid $30.30 for my purchase. I think that is a fantastic deal for how varied the condition can be from others selling it. I have had 8 of the films in two 4 Film Favorites cases that are good, but the discs are stacked one on top of the other. I have been wanting them separate since 2011. I am extremely excited to be getting this. I think I am lucky to get a set of this at that price in excellent condition with the booklet and 3D glasses included. This video explains in better detail what this set is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-T-265t_mQ4 The Nightmare on Elm Street 1999 8-disc DVD collection arrived September 3. It is in immaculate condition. Disc 8, The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia, is a phenomenal bonus disc with features most not re-released again since. I greatly enjoy the 3D sequence of Freddy's Dead, even though the film is not that good. The outer box is beautiful. I normally try not to get collections in a box, but this one is one of the best I have ever seen. I usually have bought collections in separate cases so I would not need to deal with a box. Freddy is a somewhat dark brown color along all three sides. The image of Freddy's back when the disc cases are in the correct order is fantastic. The behind the scenes booklet gives a lot of information I never knew about. The price of $30.30 was completely worth it and a worth while purchase. If anyone is able to get this with the booklet and 3D glasses in a good condition and price, that would be a wonderful set for anyone to buy.
