Yaphet Kotto<\/strong>, who portrayed \u201cDoc\u201d in Freddy\u2019s Dead: The Final Nightmare<\/em>, among many other roles in film and television has died, according to his agent, Ryan Goldhar. Kotto was 81.<\/p>\n

Goldhar confirmed Kotto died in the Philippines on March 14, 2021, at 10:30 p.m. local time, where he lived with his wife. Kotto\u2019s cause of death was not provided.<\/p>\n

Outside of the Nightmare on Elm Street<\/em> series, Kotto\u2019s notable work includes roles in Alien<\/em>, The Running Man<\/em>, Midnight Run<\/em>, Live and Let Die<\/em> (in which he originated iconic Bond villain Mr. Big<\/strong>), and playing Lt. Al Giardello on NBC’s Homicide: Life on the Street<\/em>.<\/p>\n
