Mark Patton has a new documentary film on the way but needs your help to kick it off. Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street<\/strong><\/em> is the documentary\u2019s title and, according to the description posted on Facebook, explores \u201cthe infamous homoerotic subtext and the special place [A Nightmare on Elm Street 2<\/em>] holds in the Nightmare<\/em> franchise. Thanks in part to evolving social mores, [Nightmare 2<\/em>] was considered controversial at the time [but] is now being looked back upon with a new appreciation and fondness by horror aficionados and fans of the franchise. Thirty years later, [Scream, Queen!<\/em> asks] what all the fuss was about when teenager Jesse Walsh danced just a little too freely and screamed a little too loudly while running from everybody\u2019s favorite crispy, wise-cracking villain. Interviews with celebrities, film historians and fans will help us understand the social and political climate back when the film was released in 1985, as well as the positive and negative reactions it received.\u201d<\/p>\n

The team behind Scream Queen!<\/em> set up a Kickstarter to help finance the documentary and needs fans\u2019 support to ensure the film sees release. The pledge goal is $49,000 USD and ends on October 21, 2015. Rewards and perks include audio commentary by Mark Patton, a copy of the score soundtrack composed by Lito Velasco, Scream, Queen!<\/em> movie posters, t-shirts, and more.<\/p>\n
