Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller commented on the upcoming Nightmare remake and Freddy vs. Jason 2 in an interview with Bloody-Disgusting:<\/p>\n
\u201cNIGHTMARE will come first, were gearing up to start that movie [now],\u201d explaining that a director announcement is forthcoming. \u201cWe\u2019re hopeful to announce a director in the next two or three weeks. Once that happens, we\u2019re going to try and move ahead and start to get that movie going first. I believe that NIGHTMARE is the next movie were shooting and were hoping to shoot that in April\/May in Chicago.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u201cNo, we haven\u2019t really thought about doing FREDDY VS JASON (2),\u201d he explains, \u201cI just don\u2019t have a handle on how we\u2019d do that movie. I don\u2019t know exactly what Freddy [Krueger] is going to be yet, and until I know what Freddy is I can\u2019t commit until I know who is playing Freddy and how that pans out. But we haven\u2019t thought about that at all. This is the first time I\u2019ve thought about it at all.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
