\nRobert Englund seems fairly confident that his wish to team alter-ego Freddy Krueger up with Michael Myers \u2013 the masked maniac of \u201cHalloween\u201d \u2013 is going to come true.

\nEnglund tells MTV that John Carpenter, director of \u201cHalloween\u201d, is in talks with New Line to work out a way to do the oft-rumoured \u201cFreddy vs. Jason vs. Michael\u201d.

\nEnglund has been keen to bring Myers into the mix for a couple of years now – at one stage even suggesting “Halloween” heroine, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), be reincarnated (she was killed off in “Halloween Resurrection”) for one more bout with her regular adversary, Michael, as well as the two new rogues.

\nI find it hard to believe the movie could co-exist with the upcoming \u201cHalloween\u201d remake \u2013 unless they planned on using Rob Zombie\u2019s version of \u2018Michael Myers\u2019, which \u2013 indicated by the fact that Carpenter is the one in talks \u2013 they\u2019re not.

\nEnglund also tells the site that John McNaughton is still attached to direct the \u201cElm Street\u201d prequel – though there\u2019s no word on when or whether that will happen.
