Defunct publication Epi-Log published an episode guide to Freddy’s Nightmares in their eighth issue in July 1991.

Epi-Log was not kind to the series, publishing the following:

“Warner Brothers Studios is well known for creating marvelous movies and many entertaining and well-crafted television series. However, Freddy’s Nightmares does not fall into this category. A truly horrible horror show, Freddy’s Nightmares became known mainly for its over-abundance of violence and gore, causing the show to come under considerable criticism from parents and other viewers, and it being cancelled by some stations because of its unsuitability for younger audiences—the very viewers it was targeted for. This one-hour program, usually revolving around two stories where Freddy is making a nightmare of his victim’s life, insulted viewers for two seasons until it was finally yanked from the airwaves.”
