« on: August 22, 2020, 05:26:05 PM »
If any of you have watched the 1988 Media Home Entertainment VHS Spot of A Nightmare On Elm Street 3, which you can see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT5frKwJ8_Y&t=343s if you go to the 5:40 mark, they talk about a contest called "Freddy's Be in My Nightmare Sweepstakes", it's been killing me for years but who won the contest, and where can I find he or she in the movie, so if anybody knows please tell us.

I'm not sure who won those contests, but if I recall correctly, they are one of the flailing souls when the camera goes inside Freddy in Dream Master

I always thought it was the guy that’s in Alices’ class. You see him a couple of times in the movie. First is when Shiela gets killed by Freddy in the classroom, and second when the paramedics are putting her body in the ambulance, you see him watching with all the other students. He’s holding a football. He looks a bit like Ted Danson, haha.

I remember that Freddy hotline for a cast extra role for Elm Street 4. I always thought it was rigged where a crew member was chosen anyway to be in the movie as a student or whatever in the movie.

Those walk in roles from any horror movie contest hotline they were always rigged and everything else was planned when the movie was filmed anyway

Ha!  The Freddy Hotline.  My grandmother was going to kill me because I ran up a large phone bill.  I kept calling it and hanging up after Freddy would come on because his voice scared me.  I still remember the day she got that phone bill and it has been over 30 years.
