I'm cautiously optimistic. Going back to Wes Craven's original screenplay instead of trying to pile on more mythology sounds like the right direction. What I really hope is that they keep Freddy frightening again and focus on atmosphere and suspense rather than relying on nostalgia or excessive CGI. If they can capture the nightmare logic that made the 1984 film so unsettling, I'll definitely give it a chance.
