Freelance artist Lee Howard<\/strong> submitted two awesome pieces of artwork inspired by A Nightmare on Elm Street<\/em>. The first piece is Lee’s redesign of Freddy Krueger and the second is his interpretation of Jesse Walsh from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge<\/em>, inspired by actor Mark Patton’s “Jesse’s Lost Journals” series. Lee supplied a brief description for each piece on Facebook, which you can read below.<\/p>\n

\"Freddy<\/a><\/p>\n

Lee Howard: “This is my re-design of Fred Krueger. I love Freddy and am a HUGE fan, and I feel like, if I was to do a remake of Elm Street, I would make Freddy look as hideous as possible (and also, look slightly different throughout the movie) because he is MADE of Nightmares. He IS nightmares. And I think his look should reaaaally reflect the ‘boogyman’ image. So this was me, playing around, to reinterpret an icon.”<\/p>\n

\"Jesse<\/a><\/p>\n

Lee Howard: “There is no Jesse! Based on Nightmare on Elm Street 2<\/em>, but also on Jesse’s Lost Journals<\/em>, which is a written continuation of the Jesse character from the movie, written by the actor who played him.”<\/p>\n
