Mark Shostrom Got a Visit from Police During Nightmare 3
Mark Shostrom, make-up and special effects artist, has left his mark on the world of horror and Elm Street, bringing to life greatest moments featured in A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
On his Instagram, Mark recently shared a very interesting story related to Jennifer’s death scene in Dream Warriors where it resulted in a visit from the police:
“I haven’t posted anything from the Elm St films yet. Here is the Jennifer dummy from A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987). Bob Kurtzman and John Blake did most of the work on this (John also did the wig). Everything from the thighs up was rigid fire-resistant urethane and fiberglass; the legs were soft foam. There’s an interesting story about this body involving the entire South Pasadena police force at my door. They were answering a call about ‘a mutilated woman’ after a driver spotted something in my truck bed (I was driving home from set). Late that night before pounding on my door, they inspected my truck and saw blood drops on the door (Karo blood). I tried to get the police report a few years back, but it had been purged. 😞”
He also shared this photo of a Roma Plastilina press-out of Mark Patton with additions.
