A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET : COMIC BOOKS

In 1991, the independent comic company Innovation Publishing released their ventures into the Nightmare franchise. Working very closely with New Line, they released three series total before claiming bankruptcy:

Nancy Thompson is still alive in the 'Beautiful Dream'. She has become Freddy's equal in the dream world, and with the help of Neil Gordon, she plans to end Freddy's reigning nightmare. But, what are Freddy's plans with the newly arrived older Jacob Johnson and his mother Alice? How does Springwood's new serial killer tie into all of this?

Prepare for the ultimate battle between good and evil as all your favorite characters reunite to battle the evil Freddy Krueger one last time - in his nightmare world.

The planned three issue mini-series was to be a continuation of the mythos from
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. Unfortunately, Innovation closed their offices before issue three could be released. Due to the series not being finished, it will not be presented on this site.

This series was released as a three issue comic adaptation of the movie. It was followed by the trade paperback release of all three issues and a special 3-D issue.

Released as a six issue series, this was the official new story taking place in-between Nightmare 5 & Freddy's Dead. Reuniting the classic characters for one last battle with Freddy and tying up the loose ends before Freddy's Dead, this series was released in full before the company's demise.
